The high pressure is still in charge – that’s the message from Met Eireann.
The good news is that there promises to be sunshine across the county this week with just the very odd shower.
And even better is the news that the good weather is set to last until at least next Sunday.
Today will be dry and sunny across most areas today though possibly turning a little cloudier across northern and western areas later. Mild with top temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees in just light variable breezes.
Tonight will be dry, calm and generally clear. A chilly night however with lowest temperatures of 0 to 6 degrees.
Wednesday will bring a mix of sunshine and cloud with just the slight chance of a light shower. Another mild or warm day with top temperatures of 14 to 20 degrees, warmest further west, in just light northeasterly or variable breezes.
According to the national forecaster, there’s a chance of some light showers at times but overall plenty of dry weather and sunshine in store for the rest of the week.
And the forecast for the coming weekend is just as good with current indications suggesting there will be plenty of dry and sunny weather, though some patchy light rain is possible at times, particularly in western parts.
