John Curran, the manager of the Donegal Volunteer Centre, has announced his upcoming departure from the role after 14 years.
John will be leaving the centre to take up a new career opportunity.
As the manager of the Donegal Volunteer Centre, John’s work has been central to many of the county’s biggest community and charity events.
Co-ordinating projects big and small, he has welcomed and encouraged thousands of people to make their communities a better place.
In a message to volunteers, John said his final day at the centre will be 20th May.
He said: “Working with so many committed volunteers and passionate community leaders across the county has been an absolute pleasure. Supporting your work has been a highlight of my time here, and something I’ll always treasure.
“To my colleagues, thank you for your support, teamwork, and constant willingness to try new ideas. I’ve been lucky to work with such a dedicated team, who have made support of volunteers, groups, and inclusion our core values.
“As I move on to a new opportunity, I am truly proud of the Volunteer Centre’s work and what we’ve achieved together. I am excited to see what the Centre has in store.”
