DWL U14 Match Reports 05/05/2025
Group 2:
Lagan Harps vs Cappry Rovers As (Cappry Win)
Lagan were well beaten by an excellent Cappry side. Lagan got off to a terrible start, conceding a penalty in the first minute. Molly Gallagher converted the spot kick. It was 2-0 minutes later when Allison Mbuli ran through to score. Caoimhe Sweeney brought Lagan back into it with a good strike. Cappry replied quickly, with Molly Gallagher adding their third. Catherine Caldwell went close for Lagan before Klara Lafferty added a fourth. Cappry continued to dominate in the second half and added further goals through Sinead McMenamin and Klara Lafferty. The outstanding Molly Gallagher completed her hat-trick. Lagan tried hard but were just not able to get back into it. Catherine Caldwell had their best effort in the second half.

DWL U12 Match Reports 05/05/2025
Group 1:
Cappry Rovers vs Letterbarrow Celtic (Cappry Win)
Cappry welcomed Letterbarrow to the Finn Valley Center on a great evening for football. The Cappry girls started brighter with a great cross by Alison Imbuli that found the net somehow after a mix-up at the back by Letterbarrow. Cappry pushed on and scored 4 in a row through Fia Mc Nulty , Klara Lafferty x2, and Eadaoin Mc Menamin. Cappry played some great football in the 2nd half and finished the game strong with great individual goals Emily McBride, Fia McNulty, Alison Imbuli, and Eadaoin McMenamin. Well done to Letterbarrow for a great game and to the match official.

DWL U12 Match Reports 06/05/2025
Group 1:
Donegal Town 2-1 St Catherines

Group 2:
Keadue Rovers vs Gweedore United (Keadue Win)
Another sunny evening in Central Park as Keadue welcomed neighbours Gweedore Utd. Keadue hit the ground running, and the superb skills from Katie Gillespie led her to 2 early goals within 15 minutes. Tilda McGarvey scored a great third goal after a well-worked corner. Keadue kept pressing, but for some tough defending and superb goalkeeping from Gweedore, the scoreline remained the same. On 23 minutes, Fia Ham scored her 1st and Keadue’s 4th. But straight from the kickoff, Gweedore played a ball over the top of the Keadue defence, and Lily Gallagher won the race and poked the ball into the Keadue net. Gweedore played some nice football at times, and they were very dangerous on the counterattack. Keadue started the second half strong, and Fia got her second early in the half. Both teams continued to play nice football and created chances in the 2nd half. Fia Ham continued her scoring spree when she completed the scoring for the game on 48 minutes. Thanks to Gweedore Utd for making it a very competitive game, and we wish you well for the rest of the season. Thanks to Thomas Ferry for reffing the match.

Dunfanaghy Youths 4-0 Kilmacrennan

Dunfanaghy Youths and Kilmacrennan FC U12 Girls served up an entertaining and hard-fought encounter on a warm evening at Callum Friel Park, with the final 4-0 scoreline not fully reflecting the closely contested nature of the match. Both sides started brightly, creating chances at either end of the pitch. Kilmacrennan’s goalkeeper was in fine form early on, pulling off excellent saves to deny Clara Ward Duffy and tipping a powerful effort from Caoimhe Langan over the bar. Kilmacrennan’s number 8, Aoibhinn Hegarty, proved to be a constant threat, frequently testing the Dunfanaghy defence. However, defenders Riona Gallagher, Aisling Alcorn, and Robyn Collett put in a strong shift to contain her, while goalkeeper Cara Sweeney was called into action multiple times to keep the visitors at bay. The breakthrough came shortly after halftime when Caoimhe Langan unleashed a stunning long-range strike to put Dunfanaghy ahead. That goal sparked confidence in the home side, with midfielders Clara Ward Duffy and Fiadh McGinley combining well to carve open the Kilmacrennan defence. Fiadh McGinley added two more goals in quick succession in the 56th and 59th minutes, giving Dunfanaghy a commanding 3-0 lead. Despite the scoreline, Kilmacrennan continued to battle and were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, with their younger players showing great energy and promise. Dunfanaghy added a fourth goal just before the final whistle, with Clara Ward Duffy deservedly getting her name on the scoresheet after a tireless performance. Both sides used their substitutes effectively, with fresh legs contributing to a high-paced and enjoyable game. Credit must go to both teams for their commitment, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the match. While Dunfanaghy claimed the win, Kilmacrennan can take pride in their performance in what was a much tighter contest than the score suggests.

Group 3:
Convoy Arsenal vs Lagan Harps (Lagan Win)
U12 girls welcomed Lagan Harps to Orchard Park tonight. Lagan came out strong and took an early lead after just 2 minutes with a goal from Emily McMahon. Lagan didn’t stop there and continued with the goals from Catherine Caldwell and Katie Gildea. Convoy never gave up and got on the score sheet after a well-placed ball by Holly Patton found Scarlett Barnett and ended up in the back of the net. Just before halftime, Lagan got their 4th goal from Caoimhe Sweeney. The second half seen some great football, with Lagan again getting on the score sheet twice more with goals from Catherine Caldwell and Katherine Weston. Convoy never gave up and fought for a second goal but just couldn’t find the net. Well done to visitors Lagan on the win. Thanks also to referee Rory O’Gorman

Kildrum Tigers 3-1 Bonagee United

The sun shone at Station Road this evening as our girls welcomed Bonagee United. Kildrum started the better of the two teams, they settled into the game quickly, with Aoibhe Brennan giving Kildrum the lead after 5 minutes. Áine Bovaird and Harper Lynch Mahon linked up well in midfield for Kildrum. Midway through the first half, Abaigh Bovaird made it 2-0 for Kildrum with an expertly struck volley just inside the box. Kildrum were strong on the attack, with Aine Bovaird leading the way. Harper Lynch Mahon made it 3-0 with a surging run through the pitch with just the keeper to beat and slotted the ball nicely into the back of the net. Bonagee were quick with the counterattack, and Abbie Clarke put Bonagee on the score
sheet just before halftime. With a few changes made, Bonagee came out the stronger side after the break but struggled to get past Kildrum’s defence, led by Emily Toland, who were solid throughout. Jessica McCrossan pulled off a few very brave saves in the second half, keeping the scoreline at full time 3-1 to Kildrum. Thanks to our ref Eunan Brolly. Thanks also to Bonagee for a great game, and we wish them all the best for the season ahead. Best for Kildrum – Emily Toland Best for Bonagee – Abbie Clarke

Cappry Rovers Bs 2-0 Finn Valley Predators
Cappry Rovers U12 Girls delivered a fantastic performance this evening, earning a well-deserved 2-0 win over Finn Valley. Muireann Kate Burke opened the scoring around the 15th minute with a well-taken goal, setting the tone for a strong team display. With ten minutes left to play, Kaitlin McDaid added a second to seal the victory for Cappry. There were plenty of other chances too. Jamie Leigh Gallagher kept the Finn Valley defence busy throughout, Abaigh Quigley went close with a free kick early in the second half, and Holly May was just inches away from scoring in the first half. Defensively, Ciara Lafferty was rock solid at right back, putting in a standout performance to help keep a clean sheet. Well done to all the girls on a great team effort!

Illistrin As 4-0 Ballyraine Harps
Illistrin started well, trying to find the breakthrough, but found Ballyraine goalkeeper Giles in fantastic form, making multiple saves and a fantastic fingertip save 20 minutes in to keep the game level. The breakthrough came when the ball broke to Ava Rice in the box, who fired home. Rice added a 2nd just before halftime with a composed finish into the bottom corner. Ballyraines defence were clearing their lines well, and Giles again dealt with everything when called upon. Rice added her third after being put through on goal before Sarah Fanneran added a 4th, breaking up the pitch from the back before firing into the corner. Both teams battled hard, and thanks to Ref Kevin O’Donnell. We wish Ballyraine well for the rest of their season.

Group 4:
Milford United 4-1 Ballyraine As

Milford started fast, and when Deave Diver played Naoise Barrett through, she made no mistake to open the scoring on the 1st minute. Both teams continued to create chances, but it was Milford who got their 2nd goal this time Naoise Barrett became the provider, setting up Lucy Peoples on the 20th minute. The second half Ballyraine came out and created a number of chances before Milford scored again on the counterattack with Lucy Peoples again on the score sheet on the 36th minute. Ballyraine pushed on and got 1 back on the 40th minute. Lucy Peoples then grabbed her hattrick in the 47th minute after good play by Naoise Barrett down the left. A great team performance from all the girls, and well done to Ballyraine on a good performance. A lovely night for football and a great game to watch.

Mulroy Academy 0-1 Letterkenny Rovers
Mulroy played Letterkenny Rovers in a sun swept Trialough tonight. Letterkenny won 1-0 with a goal from Aoibhe Gibson. It was a tight affair all match with little clear-cut chances. bMulroy threatened from long range on a few occasions, but the Letterkenny goalkeeper stood firm. After a period of pressure by Letterkenny, on 46 minutes, a great run down the right from Letterkenny resulted in a brilliant finish from Gibson. Letterkenny were unlucky not to double their lead when they unlocked the Mulroy defence twice in the final quarter. One last chance by Mulroy ended with a shot hitting the side netting. Great spirited game throughout. Referee Matthew Hull had an excellent game.

Finn Valley Gaels 5-1 Illistrin Bs
Finn Valley welcomed Illistrin FC for Tuesday night’s game. Valley started strong, putting pressure on the Illistrin defence straight away, but found it hard to get through with some great defending and very good goalkeeping by the visitors. Eventually Emily McMenamin broke the deadlock with a great finish, and Saoirse McMenamin added a 2nd just before the break. Shortly after the break, Hannah May Browne made it three with a lovely finish. Illistrin pulled one back with a great free kick of their own before Niamh Long popped up to slot in number 4 and Saoirse McMenamin grabbed her 2nd of the night after that. Thanks to Illistrin for a great game, and good luck to them for the rest of the season, and thanks to Francis Cassidy for officiating.

DWL U16 Match Reports 07/05/2025
Premier Division
Gweedore Celtic vs Illistrin (Illistrin Win)

Gweedore United 0-1 Mulroy Academy
Mulroy Academy came away with all three points after a tightly contested Premier Division Matchday 1 clash against Gweedore United at Pobalscoil Gaoth Dobhair. The first half was evenly balanced, with both sides creating several scoring opportunities. For the home team, Neasa Diver, Ciara McFadden, and Emma Wallace were all denied by an impressive Mairead Shields in the Mulroy goal. At the other end, Ava McGettigan and Etaine Sheridan were constant threats, keeping the Gweedore defence on their toes. The teams went into the break level at 0–0. The deadlock was broken early in the second half. In the 43rd minute, a long ball over the top released Etaine Sheridan, who found herself one-on-one with Gweedore keeper Nuala Doherty. Sheridan made no mistake, calmly finishing into the corner to give Mulroy the lead.
Following the goal, Gweedore responded with sustained pressure for the remainder of the half. Despite efforts from Diver, McFadden, Wallace, Brianna Ferry, and Lilly Rodgers, they were unable to break down a resolute Mulroy defence, superbly led by Mary Bridget McGeever. Mulroy held firm to claim a valuable away victory in what was a hard-fought and sporting contest, showcasing quality football from both sides. Referee: Patrick McCauley

Finn Valley 1-1 St Catherines
On a warm, breezy evening at the Finn Valley Centre, Finn Valley U16s hosted St. Catherine’s U16s again after meeting this season in the first phase. St Catherine’s played with the breeze at their back in the first half, and Finn Valley came out fast and tried to put St Catherine’s on the back foot, playing some nice, tidy football, but St.Catherines held firm and stuck to their game plan, and a lot of the play was in the midfield. The deadlock was broken on the 21st minute with some great team football from the Finn Valley players that started from the back with captain Bronagh Gallen laying the ball off to Brooke Byrne in midfield, who played the ball to teammate Sarah Campbell. Campbell then passed to right winger Nicole Kelly, who played the ball up the line and played in Ella Udoku, who broke the St Catherine’s defence and placed the ball across the goal mouth for Eimear Conlon, who was left unmarked in the box to place the ball past the oncoming goalkeeper. St. Catherine’s stepped up and tried to bring the game back to the Finn Valley team, but the defence held firm until the halftime whistle blew. Halftime: Finn Valley 1 – 0 St. Catherine’s. The second half started, and St. Catherine’s came out quickly and tried to catch the Finn Valley girls on the counterattack. St.Catherines got their equaliser on the 53rd minute when they won a foul on the edge of the box, and St. Catherines captain Etain Gatins stepped up and hit a great, powerful free kick over the Finn Valley wall and hit the roof of the net out of reach for the Finn Valley goalkeeper. This got the Finn Valley girls going again, and they pushed hard until the end to get the winning goal, and only a great save from the St. Catherines goalkeeper, who denied Finn Valley’s Brooke Byrne, who hit a free kick towards the top corner, and the goalkeeper saved it and put it out for a corner. Thanks to referee Gavin Doherty.

Division 1
Drumbar United 4-1 Donegal Town
Our U16 girls kicked off Phase 2 of the league season in style, welcoming Donegal Town to Drumbar for the Division 1 opener. Drumbar started the game brightly, dominating possession and forcing Donegal to sit deep and look for counterattacks against our high press. After hitting the post early on, we finally broke the deadlock when Hannah McGowan found the bottom corner with a tidy finish to give Drumbar a deserved 1-0 lead at halftime. We continued to control the second half, pressing high and asking constant questions of the Town defence. The breakthrough for our second goal came late in the game when Emie McNulty powered into the box and smashed the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0. Donegal Town pulled one back through a deflected effort, adding some late tension to the contest. But in the final 10 minutes, Drumbar turned up the intensity again, with Emma McNulty calmly slotting home our third, followed by the relentless Alex Crawford sealing the game with a clinical fourth goal. A great team performance and a strong start to the league campaign! Well done to both sides on a competitive match, and congratulations to our U16 girls on a fantastic win.

Glenea United 1-5 Milford United

Division 2
Glenree vs Ballyraine (Ballyraine Win)

Convoy Arsenal 1-1 Raphoe Town
Convoy welcomed local neighbours Raphoe to Orchard Park, and both teams were probably happy to come away with a point after a very tight affair. Convoy started the brighter and were unlucky not to go ahead when a brilliant shot from 20 yards from the very impressive Grace McGowan rattled the crossbar. Raphoe finished the half stronger and took the lead 5 minutes before the break when Ellen Carlin finished from 12 yards. Convoy came out stronger in the second half but found the Raphoe defence hard to break down. Convoy got their equaliser halfway through the half after a mix-up in the Raphoe defence and the ball somehow ended up in the back of the net. Both teams had chances to win it, but a point was probably a fair result overall. Well done to John Duffy, who reffed the game very well.

DWL 9 aside senior Match Reports 08/05/2025
Keadue Rovers 0-1 Bonagee United
Glorious conditions for this top of the table encounter with Keadue hosting Bonagee in front of a big crowd. The hosts started much the brighter, moving the ball well up both wings, and Ellie McGarvey had to be alert with a save on two minutes. The visitors continued to press with Keadue lying deep, content to hit on the break. Hannah Hopkins, Siobhan Sweeney, and Eva Harvey proving strong for Bonagee in those opening ten minutes. Keadue began to get a foothold in midfield with some good work by Sarah Doherty and looked to be settling in, but on seventeen minutes, the visitors took the lead, with Hannah Hopkins driving home from close in at the far post. The home team rallied well, and some good energy in midfield in the last ten minutes began to pin Bonagee back, and Caroline Sharkey had a shot well saved by Niamh Mailey in the closing minutes to leave it 1-0 at halftime. At the start of the second half, Keadue put a big push on with more territory and possession. On thirty five minutes, Erika Hanna struck wide, while a minute later, Sinead Doogan almost got the leveller only for Niamh Mailey to be alert to the danger. On forty minutes, from a good corner, Katie O’Donnell was very close when her header went wide. Bonagee were always dangerous on the break, with Keadue pushing forward with Orla Malseed and Natalie McFadden offering good outlets. Keadue kept pressing forward in search of the equaliser, but the back line of Bonagee, in particular Eva Harvey, proved hard to get past. In the last ten minutes, Amy Hanna did well to get a shot away, but it went over the bar. The home side kept pressing right to the whistle and proved a match for a top Bonagee team and can consider themselves unlucky not to get a draw on the night. Referee: Kyron Glennon.

Lagan Harps 0-3 Drumbar United
A more clinical Drumbar side came away with the points in a well-contested game in Manor. The first half was a tight affair with few chances. Drumbar took the lead just before halftime when Emily Slator converted a penalty. They increased their lead early in the second half through Leah Boyle. Lagan threw players forward and started to create chances. Nicola Happi pulled off two great saves from Nadine Crawford and Amy Boyd to keep the lead. Lvina Pirot and Sinead Mc Loughlin also went close. Drumbar sealed the win with a good counter and a good finish from Lily Steel. A tight first half but a really entertaining second half.

Deele Harps 0-0 Kildrum Tigers

Fanad United 2-0 Letterkenny Rovers
Traigh-a-Loch basked in glorious sunshine as Fanad United Ladies hosted Letterkenny Rovers in the latest fixture of the Ladies 9-a-side competition. From the first whistle, both sides played with intensity and flair, moving the ball with pace and precision. Defensively both teams stood strong, making it appear that goals would be hard to come by in the early stages. However, midway through the first half, Fanad’s goalkeeper, Mary-Bridget McGeever, launched a pinpoint long ball forward. Shannon McBride expertly controlled it before delivering a measured cross to the edge of the box, where Hannah Shiels struck a stunning volley into the back of the net, leaving the Rovers keeper with no chance. Just before halftime, McGeever’s accuracy proved vital again. Another long-range kickout found Eibhlin Shiels on the wing, whose cross met the onrushing Ciara Bell at the back post to double Fanad’s lead. While the second half saw no further goals, the match remained lively, with both sides creating chances and showing plenty of determination. In midfield, Fanad’s Teresa Coll and
Rachel Friel battled effectively, going toe-to-toe with Rovers’ Erin Doherty and Danielle Hynd in a closely contested battle. Everyone at Fanad United wishes Ciara Bell and Danielle Hynd a speedy recovery and hopes to see them back on the pitch soon. Next Monday evening at 7.30, Fanad United Ladies welcome Kildrum Tigers as they aim to extend their unbeaten run in the league.

DWL U14 Match Reports 09/05/2025
Group 1:
Keadue Rovers 2-1 Gweedore Celtic

Glenea United vs Dunfanaghy Youths (Glenea Win)

On a great evening for football at Callum Friel Park, Dunfanaghy Youths faced Glenea Utd. Glenea started strong, pressing hard, but Dunfanaghy’s defence, led by Orlaith Nelis, held firm early on. Emma Brogan opened the scoring for Glenea, followed quickly by a goal from Aimee McGinley. Despite Glenea’s strong defence, Dunfanaghy’s Caoimhe Langan and Chloe McNulty caused problems with clever play. McGinley and Brogan continued to threaten, and each added more goals. Dunfanaghy pushed hard in the second half and were unlucky not to score, especially after a great pass from McNulty. Glenea’s back four, Orlaith Curran, Hannah O’Brien, Ella McGinley, and Annie Geaney, stayed solid. In midfield, Jenny Corcoran, Cáit Doogan, and Àine Mangan worked hard, while Orlaith Beatty, Caelin Meehan, and Fiadh Doogan were
dangerous on the wings. Aimee McGinley completed her hat trick in the second half, and Minnie Coyle added a great goal. Lucy Doohan, Jenny, and Orlaith Beatty came close to scoring but were denied. It was also great to see Aoibhinn McGinley back in action for Dunfanaghy, playing well in midfield. Top performers for Dunfanaghy were Orlaith Nelis in defence and Chloe McNulty in midfield. For Glenea, Hannah O’Brien stood out at the back, with Orlaith Beatty impressive on the wing. Special mention to Aimee McGinley for a brilliant hat trick.

Kilmacrennan Celtic 2-0 Illistirn
On a perfect evening for football, Lurgy Park was the venue for this local derby as Kilmacrennan hosted near neighbours Illistrin. It was the home team that dominated proceedings from the 1st whistle, pushing the away side back on numerous occasions with midfield trio Jorjamae Mcgroarty, Aoibhinn Hegarty, and Roise McBride causing problems with their runs from deep. Having missed numerous chances, the home side took the lead following a short corner routine that saw Jorjamae McGroarty’s shot across the box turned in at the far post by Caidhla Conlon. Kilmac continued to create chances through Eimear Quinn, Aoibhinn Hegarty, Aynee McMullan, and Caidhla Conlon, but the Illistrin defence stood firm to leave it 1-0 at the break. The 2nd half continued along similar lines with the home team dominating possession and territory, but a combination of poor finishing and bstrong Illistrin defending kept the scoreline at 1. The 2nd goal eventually came after 55 minutes, an interception by Souris Cannard saw Aoibhinn Hegarty pounce on a loose ball, and her squared pass across the box was rifled into the top corner by Eimear Quinn for an excellent goal. Despite their dominance, the home team failed to add to their tally against a hard-working Illistrin team who were well served on the night by keeper Tayla Doherty, Isabella Temple, and Eabha McKinney, while Aynee McMullan, Kaytlin Fay, Roise McBride, and Jorjamae McGroarty stood out for the home team. The match referee was Patrick McCauley, who had an excellent game in the middle.

Group 2:
Lagan Harps 1-3 Bonagee United
Lagan and Bonagee served up a great match in Orchard Park tonight. Bonagee took an early lead through Tara McDaid with a good finish. Reah Robinson then struck the crossbar with a great shot from distance. Lagan began to come into it with Caoimhe Sweeney, causing the Bonagee defence a lot of problems. She seized on a loose ball to fire in the equaliser. Lily Rose Doherty was then just wide after a good passing move. Lagans Amy Lateef and Catherine Caldwell were having a great battle in midfield with Ruby Sheridan and Grace Parke. The second half was much the same. Bonagee took the lead again when Hanna Stolarczyk got clear on the right and finished well. Lagan almost equalised when Catherine Caldwell was just denied by a good save from Aine McDaid. Bonagee broke down the field, and Tara McDaid scored the decisive third. An excellent game with Bonagee edging it in the end.

Donegal Town As 1-6 Cappry Rovers As

Convoy Arsenal vs Ballyraine Celtic (Ballyraine Win)
Our U14 girls hosted Ballyraine Celtic this evening in Orchard Park , where both teams started off evenly, but it was Ballyraine who opened the scoring 10 minutes in from a well-taken corner. Convoy, steadying themselves to go again, seen Elle Doherty with a shot going wide. Ballyraine came back and got a second on 22 minutes in when it slipped through keeper Ranu Pirot. Rhea Parke managed to get one back for Convoy just before the halftime whistle, making it 2-1. The second half saw Ballyraine pushing harder, getting 2 goals in the first ten minutes. Amelia Kelly had a lovely shot on target, but a great save from Ballyraine’s Saoirse Wall denied her the goal. Ballyraine scored again in the 60th minute, making it 5-1. Well done to Ballyraine on the win.

Group 3:
Donegal Town Bs 2-2 St Catherines
The Donegal Town u14 development team had an excellent 2-2 draw tonight against a very strong St Catherine’s team. There was very little between the sides in the first half, with both teams cancelling each other out. However, the 2nd half was a different affair, with St Catherine’s scoring twice within 5 minutes to take a commanding lead. However, the town didn’t let heads drop and scored 2 themselves from Roisin, leaving a nail-biting last few minutes with both teams having chances to win it, but it ended 2-2. A great evening for football, and both teams played a very sporting game. Both teams will go home relatively happy with the draw. Well done, all

Raphoe Town 0-4 Finn Valley
Two goals in each half helped Finn Valley to victory against our U14 girls on Friday night, but despite the scoreline, this was an encouraging performance from our team, who battled to the end and never, ever gave up. bThe visitors, who were the stronger team on the night, took the lead with a goal inside the first 4 minutes, but they were made to battle all the way by our hard-working girls, who held out until just before the break, when Valley scored a fine second goal to make it 2-0 at half-time. Two quick goals immediately after the restart might have signaled a collapse from Raphoe, but with new players in the group and the team still very much gelling together, our girls showed real team spirit and worked their way back into the game, creating several chances in the second half. bThey might have snatched a goal that their hard-working performance deserved when they saw the ball come back off the crossbar in the closing minutes, but despite the scoreline, the girls can be proud of their hard-working and determined performance and will look to build on that over the course of the season. The girls are back in action again on Sunday night when they face Drumbar in a rearranged game at Drumineney. Well done, everyone.

Drumbar United vs Cappry Rovers Bs (Drumbar Win)
Our U14 girls were back in league action this evening as we welcomed Cappry Rovers B to Drumbar. From the opening minutes, the girls showed intent, work rate, and teamwork that lit up the pitch. A perfectly delivered corner was side-footed in by Clara McBride to get us off to a dream start. Another dangerous corner from Cara found Ciara McGinty, who calmly side-footed home to double our lead. A corner from Alex Crawford rattled off the post, but Clara McBride reacted quickest, hammering the rebound high into the net. Orlaith Slevin pressed brilliantly to win back possession and sent in a superb cross that Elsie Browne finished with class. Some dazzling footwork on the right wing from Emma Thomas led to a slick pass to Elsie Browne, who curled a beautiful shot into the top left corner. Relentless pressing from Clara McBride paid off as she intercepted a Cappry pass, drove forward, and finished brilliantly to complete her hat-trick. Cappry Rovers grew into the game in the second half and worked hard to test our backline, but our defenders were up to the challenge, standing firm to secure the clean sheet!

Group 4:
Swilly Rovers 0-4 Mulroy Academy

Ballyraine Harps 1-4 Letterkenny Rovers

Milford United vs Glenree (Milford Win)
Milford were comfortable winners in a must-win game to get second place in the group. Lucy Sweeney continued her goal-scoring streak when opening Milford’s account after 10 minutes with a well-taken goal from close range. Despite plenty of possession, the Glenree back four and midfield worked hard to stop any clear-cut chances. Aoibheen Blaney opened her account after 20 minutes with a fine effort from the edge of the box. Glenree were always dangerous on the transition but found it hard to get through Orla Murray and Aoife Kilpatrick. Aoibheen got her second of the game after some great play between Lucy McNulty and Lucy Sweeney. Michaella McElhinney opened her account 50 minutes after a great through ball from Ava Greer played Ella Friel, who crossed and put it on a plate for Michaella to score from 6 yards. Lucy McNulty got a well-deserved goal on 60 minutes, and Aoibheen got her hat trick on 65 minutes with another long-range effort. Really good football from Milford and Glenree didn’t stop working till the end.
