Over 2,000 homes and businesses are currently without power following an outage in Letterkenny this afternoon.

According to the ESB’s PowerCheck website, the outage was first reported shortly before 4pm in the Carnamuggah area.

Repairs are expected to be completed before 5pm.

You can keep track of the status of the outage here.

As a result of the outage, Uisce Eireann said there may be low water pressure and supply disruptions to Ballymaleel, Cashelshanaghan, Woodlands, Lisnenan, Letterkenny and surrounding areas in Co. Donegal.

Water restoration works are now scheduled to take place until 11:55pm on 11 May.
