A major raffle is underway offering the chance to win a fantastic campervan in aid of four-year-old Drumkeen girl TJ McDaid.
The community fundraiser is in support of TJ and her mission to walk, having been born with severe spina bifida meningocele.
For a €20 ticket, the lucky raffle winner will drive away with an 02-reg camper, kitted out with a toilet and kitchen for summer adventures. A PlayStation 5 and a kids’ electric motorbike are also up for grabs in this raffle.
Every euro raised will go towards TJ’s intensive physiotherapy sessions at the Peto Institute in Budapest. The treatments are vital in helping TJ build the strength she needs to walk unaided.
TJ McDaid checks out the campervan up for grabs this summer
TJ recently braved open skull surgery with a difficult six-month recovery period.
She is now awaiting her next trip to Budapest to continue her progress with the dedicated team there.
With each medical trip to the Peto Institute costing in the region of €12,000, TJ’s mum Claire has been fundraising non-stop to ensure her progress can continue.
The campervan draw is set to take place on Saturday, the 6th of July, coinciding with the annual jumble sale held in TJ’s honour on the 5th and 6th of July at St Patrick’s Hall in Drumkeen.
Raffle tickets can be purchased through Revolut or PayPal by simply reaching out to the “Tj wish 2 walk” Facebook page.
Tickets are also available at a wide range of local businesses, including Dry Arch Letterkenny, Brownes Gala Manorcunnigham, One Stop Letterkenny, Mc Ehinneys XL Manor, Dolan Chip Van Manor, Oldtown Stores Letterkenny, Marleys Shop Cloghan, Hardware & Grain Raphoe, Gibsons Farm Shop Raphoe, Barclays Raphoe, Gallinagh Nursery Centre Stranorlar, and Alexanders Ballybofey.
