A Donegal man has died following a three-car crash on the outskirts of Galway city yesterday afternoon.
The man, who was in his 40s and was from the south of the county, had been living in the west of Ireland for a number of years.
He was rushed to University Hospital Galway following the incident which occurred at Clareview Park in the suburb of Ballybane at about 2.50pm. The two other drivers were also hospitalised, however, the Donegal native passed away a short-time later.
A postmortem is set to be carried out and funeral details are to be confirmed.
Donegal Fine Gael Councillor, Michael Boyle, says he has been in touch with the family and offered his condolences to his mother, brother and sister.
