Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault after a man was injured in Downings last weekend.
The man was walking from Downings in the direction of the Coastguard Cottages when he was reportedly assaulted by a group of 4/5 males. The men involved were not known to the victim.
The injured man sought medical attention. Gardaí say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening in nature.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage from the Kinalargy, Rossapenna road in Downings between 3am and 4.15am on May 18th to get in touch with them in Milford on 074-9153060.
