Falcarragh Tidy Towns has called for greater communication in the community after newly-planted trees were uprooted again.
Volunteers say it’s the third time that the trees, planted as part of the town’s Tree Trail, were ripped from the ground.
The Tidy Towns committee, which has been working on a town enhancement project, has been left disappointed by the many attempts to ruin their work.
The latest incident occurred on Tuesday 20th May, sometime between 10am and 7pm.

In a Facebook post, the Tidy Towns committee called on those responsible to reach out: “Our committee is made up of local volunteers who give their time freely to improve and beautify Falcarragh. Over the past few years, we’ve invested significant efforts and funding into promoting biodiversity and sustainability, with visible improvements made throughout the town.
“While we understand that not everyone may agree with every planting location, we kindly ask that if there are any concerns, please reach out to us directly at falcarraghtidytowns@gmail.com.
“Open communication helps us all work together towards a shared goal — a cleaner, greener Falcarragh we can all be proud of.”
