A thoughtful Letterkenny schoolgirl is dedicating her first-ever haircut to raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society through Relay for Life Donegal.
Seven-year-old Kaylah Tianihad, the daughter of Sean and Ashley Tianihad, has been growing her beautiful dark brown hair since she was born.
This weekend, she’ll be bravely cutting off her locks for two causes – to donate to children in need and to help all those affected by cancer.
Kaylah has chosen to send her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer or other conditions.
Kaylah’s haircut will take place in a private salon over the weekend, with a family friend doing the honours.
For Kaylah, this is far more than just a haircut. She is also actively participating in Relay for Life in Letterkenny as part of Team Pinehill Studios. The 24-hour event kicks off on Saturday at 4pm on the ATU campus, and with her own contribution, young Kaylah is determined to make every inch count!
