A man has been arrested this morning in connection with the investigation into the 2022 Creeslough explosion.
The man, aged in his 60s, was arrested for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
An investigation into the fatal explosion in October 2022, in which 10 people lost their lives, has been running for two and a half years with no persons charged to date.
Gardaí in the Donegal Division are leading the investigation, supported by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) and other agencies including the Health & Safety Authority (HSA) & the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities (CRU).
Gardaí have confirmed that the man arrested today is being detained under the provisions of section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in the North Western Region.
