The Redress Focus Groups organisation is set to officially collaborate with the 100% Redress Party to help defective block homeowners.
The announcement was made by Roisín Gallagher, who helped to form the Redress Focus Groups website and Facebook page.
Both have become a vital resource for homeowners to access assistance and support from others impacted by the crisis, with the group also lobbying the Government and other stakeholders heavily – sharing the first-hand concerns and problems that homeowners faced with those in power.
However, now the decision has been made to merge all of the work that the Redress Focus Groups have done under the 100% Redress Party’s banner.
This includes transferring the operation of the site and Facebook page to the 100% Redress Party, as well as the transferring of numerous documents assembled by homeowners over the three years of the focus group’s existence.
“Redress Focus Groups is now in the process of handing over all of our work to the party,” Roisín said via a video posted to social media.
“We needed to provide a platform because there were so many issues within this crisis.”
“(We were trying) to get people who were experts in what they did, people who had real passion and a drive, and really wanted to get involved, roll their sleeves up and make a difference.”
“With the platform… we had the data and statistics through (all of our groups) and we had huge success from some of those groups.”
“Providing that platform allowed people to make change happen together… that was what it was always about.”
“We are handing over our Google Drive, all of our surveys, reports, proposals for a support hub and temporary accomodation, and also our pride and joy (the website).”
“It’s not easy to give all this stuff over because we are so passionate – a lot of work has gone into all of this over the last few years. Running the Redress Focus Groups was a labour of love.”
“We did more than we expected we would do, but now it’s ocme to the time where we are going to hand to over to the 100% Redress Party.”
“It’s come to a point where we can’t help the people that we intended to help, so this was the best idea.”
