Finn Valley AC’s Mark English scored a huge win at the Sound Running Track Fest meet in Los Angeles last night.
He ran an impressive 1:44.75 to score the win in the men’s 800m, only a few tenths away from his own Irish record.
It was the first outdoors event of the year for the three-time Olympian, who won Indoor European Bronze in the 800m earlier this year.
His focus will be squarely on the World Athletics Championships later this year in Tokyo, looking to bring home a medal for Ireland on the international stage once again.
