Woman killed in Fermanagh house fire near Donegal border

Police have confirmed that a woman has died following a suspected house fire near the Donegal border.

The alarm was raised earlier this afternoon when the fire broke out at a home in the Rockfield Gardens area of Beleek, County Fermanagh.

Members of the NI Fire Service and Police rushed to the scene, where the woman was pronounced dead.

The incident took place just minutes away from the border with County Donegal.

In a statement made to Donegal Daily, the PSNI said the following:

“Police attended the scene of a sudden death in the Rockfield Gardens area of Belleek on Sunday, May 25.”

“There are no further details at present.”
