Popular rally driver Garry Jennings was yesterday involved in a serious crash while competing in the Cavan Rally.

It is being reported the Fermanagh man is being treated in Cavan hospital and sustained a number of injuries in the crash including broken bones.

Navigator Brian Hoy was also injured in the accident.

Both men are believed to be in a stable condition and receiving treatment in hospital.

The popular Kesh man has won the Donegal International Rally several times.

Last month, Letterkenny navigator Rory Kennedy was alongside Jennings for victory in the Manx Rally on the Isle of Man.
