Dunfanaghy Golf Club Notes:
At home, Brendan McGrath and Mary Lafferty put up a strong fight but were narrowly defeated by a formidable Ballyliffin duo. However, Fergal Callan and Grace O’Neill secured a vital win on the 17th hole with a superb par in hurricane conditions.
The away pairings of Bill McCallion & Deirdre Farry and Peadar & Sadie Marie Curran both delivered emphatic victories, sealing the overall result.
Team captain Paddy Farry expressed his delight as Dunfanaghy confidently progress to the latter stages of this prestigious competition. Many thanks to Ballyliffin for the great spirit in which the match was played—we look forward to meeting them again soon.
