A Mayday Bucket Collection will take place from the RNLI inside the Letterkenny Aldi stores today, Friday May 30th from 9am until 5.30pm.

Every little helps, so please support this very worthy cause. Collectors will be wearing a yellow hi-viz and will offer a Mayday Pin Badge as a token of your support. Thank you in anticipation.

The Portnablagh Crab Crawls will be back in action for the month of June 2025, starting next week 6th June, with all funds raised in aid of the RNLI & Sheephaven Sub Aqua Search and Rescue, which has also been in great demand this year.

Registration from 6.15pm at the slipway and the 1k Sea Swim starts at 7pm. Every swimmer is responsible for his her own safety, and tow floats are compulsory. This is a FUN event and further details from Keith 086 0882236.

Organisers said: “We need your help to cope with tomorrow’s emergencies ….did you know that it’s summer when lifeboat crews need you most? When people think of lifeboats, they often think of stormy nights, but the truth is they’re busiest in the summer, especially to children in danger- swept out to sea, cut off by the tide and every second is precious in shouts like this. That’s why we need your help at this time of year. Your funds will help train the crews and volunteers to the highest standards, in order to deal with all emergencies, or fund their necessary equipment to carry out Rescues in dangerous conditions.”
