Gardaí and members of the emergency services are currently at the scene of a second serious road crash in the span of twenty four hours in the Milford area.
In a statement, Gardaí confirmed that a two-vehicle collision occurred on the R245 at Loughnakey at approximately 10:50am this Saturday morning.
No further information about the incident is being made available at this time.
The scene of this morning’s collision is on the outskirts of Milford, and less than 5 kilometers from the scene of a fatal collision that occurred last night at the Bunlin Bridge.
A woman aged in her 70s was killed in that collision, which was between a car and a van just after 7pm yesterday evening.
Gardaí have made an appeal for witnesses to that fatal incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Bunlin Bridge area between 7.15pm and 7.45pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milford Garda Station on (074) 9153060, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
