Donegal jockey Martin Harley has scored a huge win in a $1 million race in Australia.
He surged to a late victory aboard Cool Archie for trainer Chris Munce.
The 6/1 shot produced a flying finish to win the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Eagle Farm in Brisbane.
It sees Harley claim part of the $1 million Australian Dollar (€566,000) prize, a fine reward for the veteran 35-year-old jockey.
The result also marks another fine performance just two and a half years after Martin suffered a serious injury while racing in Australia in January of 2023.
Trentagh native Harley also claimed victory in a $3 million Australian Dollar race in January of 2024, a year after his career-threatening fall.
