Planning permission is being sought for further development at an anaerobic digestion plant in east Donegal.

Harold Wilson (Brookdale Biogas Ltd) has applied to Donegal County Council for the proposed development at Coxtown/Tonagh, Carrigans.

The application relates to the retention of a bund wall and construction of reception hall extension, proposed weighbridge and minor relocation of pasteurisation tanks.

A biogas plant is a facility that turns waste and other organic products into sustainable energy and fertilisers.
