The Donegal Surf Lifesaving Team will hold open trials for new members tomorrow at 11:00 AM at Portnablagh Pier.
They are calling on children, teenagers, and adults born in 2017, or earlier, that can swim a minimum of 25m front and breast stroke in open water to come and try out for an exciting summer season of surf lifesaving. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, welcoming community and take part in a fun, active sport.
Participants will enjoy:
- Swimming
- Board training
- Beach games
…all while gaining essential lifesaving skills and making lifelong friends.
Wetsuits are strongly recommended for comfort during the trial.
Successful participants will be invited to join their summer training programme:
- Wednesday & Sunday evenings in Killahoey
- Saturday mornings in Rossnowlagh
The team had a fantastic weekend at the All-Ireland Surf Lifesaving Stillwater Championships at the University of Limerick back in February.
