Kind-hearted staff and patrons of Briney’s Bar in Clonmany have raised almost €10,000 for a local sheltered housing unit.
The much needed funds will go to the St Columbcille Village complex.
Pictured above are Aaron Harkin, Danny Grant and Seamus Doherty presenting staff of the charity with a donation of €9,000. The money was raised through a Queen of a Hearts fundraising event.
“We simply can’t Thank them enough, we are overwhelmed at the generosity,” a spokesperson for St Columbcille Village said.
“We are always grateful to anyone who undertakes fundraising on our behalf. We are very aware of the struggles facing many businesses in the current climate and are touched by the thoughtfulness and generosity shown by Briney’s Bar. It’s donations like this that help us keep our doors open and deliver the highest possible care to our Residents.”
“A huge thanks firstly to the organisers but also to the local businesses that sold tickets and to each and everyone who supported the event. Its gestures like this that remind us we are extremely fortunate to be based in such a wonderful community.
We will ensure the money is used wisely in a way that will benefit the Residents and we endeavour to honor the donation by continuing to provide the highest possible standards of support and care we can.”
