The heartbeat of every GAA Club lies in the community that supports it — and at the core of Seán Mac Cumhaills GAA Club’s development and success is its 300 Club.
Located in Ballybofey, County Donegal, Sean Mac Cumhaills GAA Club has a proud tradition of fostering Gaelic football, hurling, handball and camogie for players of all ages. But like many clubs, they face the financial demands that come with maintaining facilities, supporting underage development, and growing club programs. The 300 Club is an ambitious and vital fundraising initiative designed to meet these challenges head-on.
What is the 300 Club?
The 300 Club is a limited-membership draw where only 300 tickets are sold annually. Each member contributes a set fee — typically €300 per year, payable monthly, quarterly, bi annually or annually — the membership are then entered into monthly draws with significant cash prizes. In return, they directly support the day-to-day operations and long-term goals of the club.
It’s a win-win model: supporters have the chance to win while giving back to their local GAA community in a meaningful and sustainable way.
Community at its Core
Beyond the financial benefits, the 300 Club strengthens the sense of community. It brings together past players, parents, local businesses, and lifelong supporters — all contributing to a shared vision for the future of Gaelic games in Ballybofey.
The club regularly celebrates the success of the draw winners, often featuring them on social media and at club events, which helps build excitement and engagement throughout the year.
