A mental health charity is looking for keen Donegal swimmers to organise their own “Dip@Dusk” this June to raise vital funds.
The campaign was launched by the Grow Mental Health Charity, ahead of their planned national Dip@Dusk event, which will see swims take place from Thursday the 19th of June until Sunday the 22nd.
The weekend also marks the Summer solstice, the longest day of the year – with the charity encouraging the public to swim in the cooler evening temperatures as June continues to heat up.
Participants can register for €25 and take part in a swim at a beach, lake or river of their choosing. With no set locations, the event is deliberately flexible, inclusive and community-led. Swimmers are encouraged to invite friends, family or local groups to join them in marking the longest days of the year in a way that’s meaningful and uplifting.
