The first leg of the Maire O’Donnell fourball matches took place in Letterkenny Golf Club on Saturday.

In tough conditions, it was the Letterkenny ladies who seized control, and some would say have a clear advantage as they prepare to come to Portsalon for the 2nd leg.

However, the Portsalon ladies are not known to shirk from the task in hand and have all to fight for at home. The matches could very well come down to the wire!

A mention to Noreen in Hunters for the welcome coffee and homemade scones and the excellent hospitality as always from the Letterkenny ladies both from team players and supporters, the matches were all played in the spirit that golf is meant to be played.

Many thanks to team Captain Kay Kelly, the renowned putting queen of Barnhill, who will be welcomed along with her team back to Portsalon on a date to be confirmed.

Intermediate Foursomes

Letterkenny ladies were once again the opposition on Sunday. The format is two pairs simultaneously at home in Portsalon and away in Letterkenny. In very strong winds, the ladies of both sides battled the elements. Letterkenny emerged victorious and Lady Captain

Roisin and Portsalon team members send the Letterkenny ladies best wishes for their next Round. Once again, much appreciation for the wonderful hospitality in Letterkenny Golf Club.
