An investigation is underway into two concerning incidents at the Letterkenny University Hospital car park last weekend.
Two cars were damaged while parked in the car park in the early hours of Saturday morning, with one vehicle subsequently stolen and crashed.
The first incident involved the theft of a blue Toyota Sienta, with a partial registration of ‘171D62’. The car was then discovered crashed into a ditch at Manorview Park, Letterkenny, by 8.25am the same day.
In a separate report, a Toyota Aqua parked in the hospital car park had its driver’s window smashed. It is not believed that entry was gained to the vehicle.
Both incidents took place sometime between 4am, when the cars were parked, and 8.25/9am.
Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have observed two males on foot in the vicinity of the hospital car park.
Anyone who was driving in the area of Letterkenny University Hospital or Manorview Park with a dash-cam between 4am and 9am on Saturday, 7th June, is asked to make their footage available to gardaí.
