Letterkenny Golf Club’s Open Week will take place from Friday, 20th of June to Sunday, 29th of June.

We are expecting huge numbers, so please ensure you have your name on the timesheet as soon as possible!

Many thanks to our sponsors who make this week a tremendous success each year. They include McGuirks Golf, Divers Hyundai, Specsavers Letterkenny, CoLab ATU, McCullagh Jewellers, Evolve Menswear, McElhinneys Department Store, Hickey, Clarke and Langan, 4 Lanterns and Global Tiles and Bathrooms.

Golfer of the Year – June Monthly Medal

Letterkenny Golf Club played host to a thrilling Monthly Medal competition over the weekend, with Fergal Finn emerging as the overall winner. Finn carded an impressive net score of 67 (85 gross, 18 handicap) to take top spot in this closely contested event. Eugene O’Donnell finished as the overall runner-up, shooting a net 69 (82 gross, 13 handicap), while Ciaran Haran secured third place with a net 71 (80 gross, 9 handicap), edging out others based on his performance over the last nine holes.

Saturday Open

Despite the poor weather, a strong field turned out for the recent Saturday Open at Letterkenny Golf Club, with Brian Mullen producing a stellar performance to claim the overall victory. Mullen scored an impressive 44 points off a 20 handicap to take top honours. Cathal Roarty of Portsalon Golf Club put in a fine display to finish runner-up with 42 points playing off 15, while Shea O’Gorman finished on the podium with a solid 40 points off a 27 handicap.

DNG Boyce, Gallagher and McCahey Open

The Wednesday Open at Letterkenny Golf Club, proudly sponsored by DNG Boyce, Gallagher and McCahey, saw Junior Captain, Jonathan Russell, take the overall win with a fine score of 40 points playing off an 11 handicap. Jonathan targeted the par fives and returned two wonderful birdies on the 7th and 18th holes. Hot on his heels was Eugene O’Donnell, who continued his consistent form with 39 points off a 13 handicap to secure the runner-up position. Rounding out the top three was John Russell, who finished with 38 points off a 15 handicap.
