An investigation is underway after three vacant houses in the Baile Na Finne estate in Fintown were broken into over the recent Bank Holiday weekend, between Friday, 30th May and Monday, 2nd June.

The houses, located behind the Údarás na Gaeltachta building, had most of their windows smashed. Entry was gained to all three but nothing was reported stolen.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have observed suspicious activity in the area over the course of that weekend or who may have any relevant information to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.”
