Killybegs is gearing up for a busy start to next week, with four cruise ships scheduled to dock over three days.
There will be an influx of 3,551 passengers across the four vessels.
The activity kicks off on Monday with a double arrival. The ‘Spirit of Adventure’ will arrive with an estimated 1,467 passengers. Joining it on Monday is the ‘Hebridean Sky’, making its maiden visit to Killybegs. This small 90.6m expedition ship is expected to bring around 171 passengers.
Tuesday will see another maiden caller, the ‘Sylvia Earle’. This 104m ship is scheduled to arrive at 12:00 and depart at 18:00, with approximately 250 passengers on board.
On Wednesday, the Oceania Cruises ‘Vista’ will bring around 1,663 passengers.
Sinbad Marine say it will be “all hands on deck” in the coming days.
“We look forward to welcoming all the passengers and crew to Killybegs and we hope they enjoy their visit to Donegal,” the company said.
Following this week’s activity, the next cruise after that will be coming to town on 5th July.
A total of 25 passenger ships are visiting Killybegs this summer, with the season running from May until September.
Sinbad Marine Services reports that up to 20,000 passengers and 10,000 crew will arrive in town.
