Ciarán Thompson will make his 50th consecutive championship appearance for Donegal this Sunday against Louth.
The Naomh Conaill man has been a revelation again this season.
Ciarán made his 100th overall appearance for Donegal on 31st March 2024 in their Allianz Division 2 League Final victory over Armagh.
He made his first senior championship appearance when he was introduced as a sub against Dublin in the 2016 All Ireland Quarter Final in Croke Park.
And he has played in every one of Donegal’s championship matches since, winning four Ulster Senior Championship titles in that period!
Thompson, again named at number 11 by Jim McGuinness for Sunday’s clash, has been a consistent performer since the league outings earlier in the year.
Nobody is more proud of Thompson than his club in Glenties.
The club today posted a series of pictures of Ciarán in action.
A club spokesperson said “Congratulations Ciarán on yet another significant milestone in your career.
“We are all extremely proud of Ciarán here at Naomh Conaill, his contribution and commitment to both club and county is absolutely immense and we wish him and all the lads the very best of luck on Sunday.”
