Callum Devine remains in the lead of the 2025 Donegal International Rally – but his lead is now facing its biggest challenge since the opening stages of the rally.
Down driver William Creighton has been on a tear during today’s running, having set the fastest stage time on four of today’s six stages so far – including on the latest stage, Garrygort.
The ex-Junior WRC Champion in his Toyota Yaris R2 is now 4.9 seconds off of rally leader Devine in his Skoda Fabia R2.
Meirion Evans and Haydon Padden meanwhile are locked in a battle for the final spot on the podium, Welshman Evans currently holds that coveted third place by 1.3 seconds over the New Zealander – both men are still around 20 seconds off the lead though.
Josh Moffett and David Kelly are locked in a battle for fifth around a minute off the lead, with Ford M-Sport supported driver Jon Armstrong only ten seconds behind both of them after suffering further technical problems on his Ford Fiesta R2 earlier today.
The second runs on Knockalla and Garrygort are scheduled for this evening, with the potential for rain also hanging over the drivers’ heads before they can return to the safety of Parc Fermé tonight.
Below are the remaining stages scheduled for today – but with the rally currently running late, start times are expected to be roughly 30 minutes after the scheduled times.
Saturday:
Knockalla 2 (SS13): 5:22pm
Garrygort 2 (SS14): 6pm
