One of Ireland’s biggest Zach Bryan fans had a dream come true on Friday when the American country star waved his flag onstage!

Calvin Benson from Buncrana was one of the diehard fans to get into the golden circle for the first of three massive shows by Zach Bryan in Dublin this weekend.

To mark the occasion, Calvin had a massive Tricolour custom made with Bryan’s face on it.

As the gig got into full swing, the singer spotted the flag from the stage and asked his security to fetch it from Calvin.

Obviously chuffed, Bryan waved the flag around his head, showed it off to his band and declared: “Thank you Dublin, I love the f*** out of ya!”

Bryan then laid the flag carefully on a piano for the remainder of the gig.

The event prompted cheers and an Ole Ole Ole chant from the 60,000 fans in Phoenix Park.

Calvin said it was a surreal moment he’ll never forget.

The Buncrana teen was adamant that Bryan would get his flag, and the gift took a lot of careful planning.

Calvin was one of the hundreds of thousands of Irish Zach Bryan fans waiting for the star to return to Ireland after 2 and a half years. Bryan’s last Irish gig was to an intimate crowd of just over 1,000 people in 2023.

When the Phoenix Park run was released, Calvin got golden circle tickets to be close to the stage AND organised a private coach from Buncrana for him and all his friends to leave earlier than the rest of the buses to get the perfect spot.

Bryan’s team kindly returned the flag to Callvin after the gig, making it a true keepsake to treasure from a legendary weekend.
