A massive €76,000 total has been revealed after Scoil Mhuire Creeslough staff held a hugely successful fundraiser for a brave student, Cassie Sheridan.
A fundraising bed push took place in May to drive up support for Cassie, a sixth class student at the school who is undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer, anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
The next stage of Cassie’s treatment involves a bone marrow transplant in the Netherlands.
To help Cassie and her family, the staff of Scoil Mhuire decided to go the extra mile by pushing a bed all the way from Carrigart to Creeslough!
They put in a massive effort on 3rd May, and their journey was so well supported by people all across the north west.

Today, after gathering generous donations from far and wide, they have revealed that the total went way beyond all initial targets.
The team said: “We have been overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of everyone who supported this amazing fundraiser and been humbled by the community response.
“We’d like to wish the Sheridan family every hope and success on the next stage of their journey.”
