A number of cars have been damaged after a paint spillage on the main Ardara to Glenties Road.
A number of vehicles were splashed with white paint during the incident on Wednesday evening.
Councillor Brian Carr said it is a difficult issue for those who found themselves with their vehicles damaged through no fault of their own.
“There was a paint spill that wasn’t reported, and sadly, it’s going to cost them to get their cars properly cleaned,” he said.
He suggested that anybody whose car was damaged by paint should contact the pothole/minor claims telephone number.
