National: Girl, 17, killed in horse-riding incident

A teenager has been killed following a horse-riding accident in Kerry.

The 17-year-old girl died following the incident outside Killarney last night on the main Tralee Road at Rockfield.

The teenager and her family are very well-known in the area.

The Health and Safety Authority has been informed of the incident and a full investigation has been launched.
