Search on for visitor who left Sliabh Leag message in random act of kindness

A woman who was on the receiving end of a random act of kindness is looking for the person who left them a wonderful message and keychain at the Sliabh Leag cliffs.

The extremely kind gesture was discovered by Alison Powell while she was at the cliffs on Wednesday, spotting an envelope marked with a message on the front, simply labelled “For the one who finds it”.

Inside was a postcard featuring another kind message and a charming keychain.

The postcard simply reads:

“Ní bhíonn saoí gan locht.”

“There is no person without fault.”

“We all make mistakes.”

“But mistakes are the way to wisdom.”

“Live your life, make mistakes, learn and be happy.”

Alison took to the “Co Donegal” group on Facebook to thank the stranger for their extremely kind message and gesture – and expressed a will to thank them directly.

“Were you up Sliabh Liag cliffs on Wednesday? Did you leave anything for someone to find? Well that person was me and on my birthday too,” Alison said.

“It was a lovely thing to do and I felt like my mother was with me every step. Thank you so much.”
