A car which was seen being driven dangerously throughout rally weekend has been seized a week later in Buncrana.
The car was repeatedly observed being driven in a dangerous manner in the Bridgend area on the weekend of the rally, but after each incident, it evaded gardaí by crossing the border into Northern Ireland.
The vehicle was finally located by Buncrana Gardaí on Saturday night last, where it was parked up.
The car was seized under Section 109(a) of the Road Traffic Act 1961.
“Under this legislation, in order to get your vehicle back, you must apply to the Judge of the District Court,” said a garda spokesperson.
“Should you ever observe a vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner, please try to get the registration number and report the incident to us immediately.”
