A raffle at this year’s Donegal Person of the Year Ball for John McCarter raised a grand total of €5,530 for the Lough Swilly RNLI crew.
Having volunteered with Lough Swilly RNLI for 20 years, it’s a charity close to John’s heart, and it was fitting that he would choose it as the recipient of the raffle on his special night in March.
John was joined in Buncrana recently by Vice President of the Donegal Association, Peggy Stringer, as they handed over the generous donation.
John McCarter, a well-known and successful businessman in Donegal for many decades, is also the Chairperson of the Board of Fort Dunree.
