Malin Head experienced its highest June temperature since 1957 on Friday, 20th June.
Visitors to Ireland’s most northerly point basked in strong summer heat when the mercury soared to 25.5 °C.
Despite a cool start, June 2025 has become the 4th warmest on record for Ireland, according to the latest Met Eireann report.
On the other hand, it was the 24th wettest June since 1941. Most stations saw rainfall above average (117% of the LTA for Ireland overall). This includes Finner station in south Donegal, which had some of the highest number of “very wet days” at five.
