The Annual Letterkenny Busking Festival returns to Letterkenny Main Street this August with its amazing variety of acts.

The highly anticipated 10th annual Letterkenny Busking Festival competition is set to make a triumphant return on Saturday 23rd August 2025.

Since its beginning in 2015, this vibrant festival has attracted talented buskers and performers from various genres, creating an incredible entertainment and atmosphere for all to enjoy. The buskers take their places from 1.30pm and play until 3pm. They love an audience cheering them on so come along to Main Street from lunchtime to see all the acts.

This year’s festival promises to be even more thrilling, featuring an eclectic mix of beloved returning acts and exciting new talents. Traditional musicians, singers, and performers will line the pavements on Letterkenny’s bustling Main Street, competing for fantastic prizes from the €1000 prize fund.

“We’re so looking forward to the Busking Fest this year,” said Jimmy Stafford, President of Letterkenny Chamber, that is organising the Busking Festival through its ShopLK Brand, now celebrating its 10th anniversary.  “Last year’s event was a tremendous success with some fantastic entertainers. The busking festival brings entertainment, music, and fun to the streets for the day. It makes for a great family occasion, and we always find hidden talent among the performers. We anticipate fierce competition for the top spot and the cash prizes.”

So, if you’re a band, a singer a dancer or even a magician, all are welcome.  We are appealing to everyone to join us on the day so that all the acts have an audience, and they can perform to their very best.
