Ballintra Parish Priest Adrian Gavigan will celebrate his Silver Jubilee with a special Mass of Thanksgiving this Friday evening.
Fr Gavigan, a native of Glenties, was ordained to the priesthood in 2000.
The special Mass, marking Fr Gavigan’s 25 years of sharing the Gospel, will be held at Saint Bridget’s Church, Ballintra, at 7pm on Friday, 4th July 2025. Refreshments will be available afterwards in the Community Centre.
Throughout the years, Fr Gavigan served in various curate roles across the Raphoe Diocese.
In 2021, after nearly four years in Lettermacaward and Doochary, he became the Parish Priest of Drumholm, which covers Laghey, Ballintra, and Rossnowlagh.
