Up to 10,000 people are expected to descend on Rossnowlagh tomorrow for the annual Orange Order Parade.
The south Donegal seaside town traditionally sees their march on the last Saturday before the main July 12th celebrations.
More than 50 Orange Order Lodges from Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan, as well as visiting Orangemen from Northern Ireland and further afield, are expected to gather for the annual march.
“Orangeism remains vibrant in the border counties with Brethren regularly taking part in parades and events right across the jurisdiction of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland,” a spokesperson for the Orange Order said.
The event is expected to start at 12.30pm near St John’s Parish Church.
The lodges will then hold their annual demonstration before a religious service takes place at 3pm. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Brian Russell, Rector of Drumholm Parish.
A collection will be held on the day in aid of Orange charities. The return parade will leave the demonstration field at 4.45pm.
The event will be led by Donegal Orange Order County Grand Master David Mahon.
Extra Gardaí will be drafted into the area to cater for increased traffic and crowds across the weekend.
