A call has been put out for any and all of the “O’Dochartaigh” Clann to come along for a special fun evening in Culdaff later this month.
The Ó Dochartaigh Clann Association is holding their first in-person meeting in Inishowen since 2015 on Wednesday July 23rd at McGrory’s Hotel in Culdaff, starting at 7:30 pm.
With festivities on the night also including some good craic and a pub quiz with prizes, it’s sure to be a super evening for any and all members of the Doherty diaspora.
On the night, after a short introduction of the Executive Committee and Directors, they will share what the association has been doing since the last in-person meeting in Inishowen, held in July 2015 as part of the last Worldwide Clann Association gathering in Ireland.
Then the real fun will begin – the pub quiz, organised by the great quiz master Peter Doherty “Saddler,” to entertain and challenge everyone in attendance. Members of the Clann are invited to bring their friends and family and join in a friendly competition of trivia knowledge to show some of the visitors how it is done! Team sign-ups will happen at the door.
The non-profit O’Dochartaigh Clann organization has been active in Inishowen and Derry since the early 1980s, with their mission to “Gather the Clann.”
Over the past couple of years, the Ó Dochartaigh Clann Association leadership has been holding monthly meetings on Zoom, as well as Zoom classes on clann and Irish history and a few hangouts as well.
