A joint funeral will be held today for the much-loved mother and daughter who were killed in a road crash in Carndonagh.
Natalie McLaughlin, aged in her 20s, and her 6-year-old daughter Ella tragically died in the collision between a car and a van which happened on Tuesday evening in the Glentogher area.
They will both be laid to rest at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Carndonagh this Monday afternoon.
Funeral Mass will take place at 12noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
The Funeral Cortège will leave the family home this morning at 11.20am, travelling from Church Road up through Bridge Street and entering the Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh (between the Diamond Cafe and the Mason’s).
Everyone is invited to stand out and form a guard of honour as Ella and Natalie make their final journey.

Natalie’s partner, Tyrone, also suffered serious injuries in the crash and their 2-year-old daughter, Rhea Rose, was also injured in the crash, requiring specialist treatment at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
In their obituary notice, Natalie and Ella are described as the “much loved mother and sister of Rhea-Rose and cherished daughter and granddaughter of Joanne and Danny and adored sister and niece of Lara, Tiarnan and Ryan.
“Deeply regretted and sadly missed by their grandparents and great grandparents, Lynn and Anthony Noone and Margaret and Hugh McLaughlin, Natalie’s partner Tyrone, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.
“May Ella and Natalie Rest In Eternal Peace.”
