The countdown is on!

The Mary From Dungloe International Arts Festival returns to Dungloe from Saturday 26th July to Monday 4th August 2025, promising a spectacular showcase of music, culture, and community spirit.

Now in its 58th year, the festival has grown into one of Ireland’s most beloved summer events — and the 2025 programme is packed with entertainment for all ages.

“This year’s lineup celebrates everything that makes the Mary From Dungloe Festival so special — local pride, international connection, and a love of Irish culture,” said Festival Director Gavin Boyle “Whether you’re a local, a visitor, or watching from across the globe, you’re invited to be part of the magic that takes place here in Dungloe ever summer.”

Programme Highlights Include:

  • Official Opening Ceremony – Saturday, 26th July at The Cope Dungloe by John Bosco O’ Donnell & Street Music by Michael English
  • Daniel & Friends Country Concert – Featuring Daniel O’Donnell and guests, Sunday 27th July, 3–6pm at McCafferty’s Bar Marquee.
  • Food & Drink Fayre – Showcasing Donegal Products & Chef Demonstrations at the new bigger venue of the RCS Sports Hall on Monday 28th July, 11am–5pm.
  • Childrens Events – A programme packed with Childrens events, activities, workshops and concerts for all ages
  • Dungloe Carnival Parade – Sunday 3rd August at 2pm, Main Street – a festival favourite!
  • Irelands First Fife Orchestra – Bringing Together Musicians from the Rosses Fife bands to tell the story of how this tradition came to be.
  • Live Music Galore – Michael English, John Mc Nicholl, Chrissy Mac, Atlantic Reel, ABBA Sensations, Taylor Swift Tribute Act, Childrens Silent Disco and much more in all the local pubs & marquees
  • The International Cultural Day – Traditional Cuisines, Crafts, and Traditional outfits from over 15 Countries worldwide. An amazing day of music, fun, and dance.
  • Lá Gaelach – One of the highlights of the festival each year. Watch Dungloe come alive to the sound and sights of our Traditional music, song and dance.
  • Crowning of the 2025 Mary From Dungloe – Sunday 3rd August. The grand finale will be streamed live worldwide on the TG4 Player, hosted by international superstar Daniel O’Donnell.

Celebrating Culture, Identity, and Community

The Mary From Dungloe competition is at the heart of the festival — a celebration of Irish heritage, resilience, and global connection. Contestants from across Ireland and the Irish diaspora will gather in Dungloe to share their stories and compete for the coveted title.
