A number of valuable items, including power tools and an outdoor patio set, were stolen during a burglary at a closed down licenced premises in Muff yesterday (Monday).
The break-in occurred at Sappagh, between 7am and 4pm on Monday, 7th July.
The burglar(s) gained entry by forcing open a window and a rear door.
Among the items taken were a Rockwell sander and a silver/orange Rockwell floor buffer. An aluminium outdoor patio set, consisting of a three-seater couch and two single chairs were also taken.
Gardaí are appealing to the public to report any type of suspicious activity or people in that area at the time of the incident.
“If anyone travelled along the R239 (Muff to Burnfoot Road) between those hours with a dash-cam, we ask them to make the footage available to us,” a spokesperson said.
“Should anyone come across similar type items for sale on a second hand basis, we ask them to alert us also.
