The stunning Sliabh Liag cliffs in Donegal have made a list of the most beautiful places in Ireland to get engaged.

The cliffs in south west Donegal provide a breathtaking backdrop for getting down on one knee – or even getting hitched!

According to a study by Diamonds Factory Ireland, it’s Sliabh Liag and Wicklow National Park, more specifically the Glendalough Upper Lake Viewpoint, that make the best scenic spots for a proposal.

Sliabh Liag stands out for being less crowded than other coastal hotspots in the country such as the Ciffs of Moher.

The Sliabh Liag cliffs record around 81,000 visitors per year.
