Gardaí have issued a warning to the public that a number of fake £20 Sterling notes are currently circulating in the Buncrana area of County Donegal.
The notes in question are fraudulent remakes of the £20 Bank of England note.
Businesses across the county have been warned to be aware that these fake/prop notes may be in use and to advise staff to always thoroughly check all notes received as many of these notes are produced in a very professional manner.
“Please be vigilant and advise your staff accordingly,” said a garda spokesperson.
