Witnesses sought after boat vandalised at pier in Inishowen

A witness appeal has been issued after a boat was boarded and vandalised at Bunagee Pier in Culdaff.

The incident occurred between midnight and 6am on Thursday, 3rd July.

During the incident, the vessel’s diesel tank was deliberately smashed. Safety gear from the boat was removed and thrown overboard.

Gardaí have confirmed that the safety equipment was later successfully recovered.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Bunagee Pier on Thursday morning, or anyone who has any information that could assist their enquiries, to come forward.

Those with relevant information are asked to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.
