Portsalon Golf Club’s teenage sensation, Aoife Browne, was a member of the Ulster team that won an interprovincial title at the weekend.
Aoife (18) was instrumental in the side recapturing the cup in Knightsbrook which was last won by Ulster in 2023.
Aoife proved her selectors’ trust by winning all her matches, both foursomes and singles.
Points were crucial, and it came down to the wire on the last day against Connacht. A delighted team captain, Oonagh McClure, paid tribute to the team for their resilience and hard work under what were tough conditions. Aoife and her teammates have been warmly congratulated by Portsalon Golf Club Lady Captain, Roisin McCormack, and all members of the club following their success.
