Met Éireann has issued a second weather alert for Donegal this sunny weekend.
Saturday and Sunday will have high temperatures of up to 27C during the day.
The country will be under a nationwide high temperature warning for Saturday from midday to 6am Sunday.
A second warning has now been issued for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Donegal, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and all of Connacht. This status yellow warning takes effect on Sunday from midday until 6pm.
Forecasters are warning of the risks of hot weather, including heat stress and uncomfortable sleeping conditions as the night will remain a balmy 15C.
There’s also a risk of forest fires due to dry conditions.
Those who choose to cool down at the beach or near lakes are urged to prepare in advance and heed all water safety advice.
